Living in the 21st century is as tough as ever. Life was more easier and fun during the yesteryears. The weather was more clearer, the air was cleaner, there were less wars and people were more tolerable.
Over the past 5 to 10 years, humans are becoming greedier. Material wealth is the number one source of destruction of our beloved earth. Our air is polluted with toxic gasses, rivers clogged with trash, and our neighbourhood is dirty. We are so caught up with work that they have forgotten that it is our responsibility to preserve and take care of nature. This causes haze during the day, untolerable heat waves, diseases, and many other problems.
As a resident of the earth, we should take measures to ensure that our environment stays clean. Please throw rubbish into proper areas, use water properly and make sure our residences are cleaned up regularly. In a bigger scale, factories should not take dispensing jobs easily. They should follow the law and regulations.
Wars are also another form of destruction. Wars in the name of religion are so far the most deadliest and done on bigger scale. Religious tolerance should be practiced, so that we can respect each other. We should get to know our friends from other religions and make peace, not war. Military forces are used to control a nation, while democracy fails in some part of the world. Extremism in whatever means are being used and should be avoided in any way.
As i reflected on these issues, i realized that we should work together, hand in hand, to make sure our earth is in condusive condition and eliminate hatred among ourselves to make a better future.
